She/Her
Reason behind name and number:
I really love glitter and anything shiny! I also used to do lampworking which is similar to glass blowing but on a smaller scale so I wanted something that sounded kind of tough but also has to do with fire. My number used to be Code 6 when we could have letters too. I have some friends who are in a band and we went to see their concert at a casino. They invited us to watch sound check and while we were in there, security came in to try to remove us. The tour manager stopped them and told them we had permission and as the guard left, I heard her say in her walkie, "all good, it's a Code 6, they're with the band...Code 6"

Derby history:
Peoria Push 2010-2015
Peoria Prowlers 2015-2024
QCR 2025-Present

Position:
Blocker

Other sports and hobbies:
I love creating things. Crafts, jewelry, art, etc. I recently got into laser cutting. I am obsessed with makeup and body art. I love to nerd out at game nights and escape rooms. I've also been known to do a little karaoke.

Injuries:
I shattered my ankle and tore all the ligaments about 3 months into my Derby career. It took 6 months, 3 surgeries, 3 plates, 12 screws and a bunch of physical therapy to get back on skates, but I came back as soon as possible and have never regretted it. I also sprained both knees during a single scrimmage.

When I’m not playing derby I’m a:
I work for the Illinois Department of Transportation as a sign maker. I am also a face and body painter and own an apparel customization business.

Get Pumped Up Song:
Kesha - We R Who We R **This was our first ever intro song.

Fun fact:
Even though I started in Peoria, QCR was my first introduction to Roller Derby. I met a QCR Skater at a car show and thought Derby sounded like a great creative and athletic outlet even though I had no skating experience whatsoever!!

My greatest derby accomplishment is:
I founded two leagues in Illinois and got to be involved in many skaters' Derby careers as Newbie and Head Coach.

If I could tell myself one thing when I started playing, I would say:
Be ok with falling. Sometimes you hurt yourself more by trying to avoid it. Just get back up as quick as possible and keep going!
