Reason behind name and number: 

I was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army before I retired, and my last name starts with "K". I deployed to Iraq with the 402nd Army Field Support Brigade.

Derby history:

Started in November of 2014. Have been a charter skater since early 2016.

Blocker

Other sports and hobbies:

Sewing and Reading.

​

Injuries:

I had a sprained ankle my 5th ever practice as a newbie. I remained injury free for 10 years, but am currently recovering from 3 bulging discs in my back.

​

When I’m not playing derby I’m a:

Crossing guard, and substitute paraeducator.

Fun fact:

For 3 years, in college, I water skied for show teams putting on shows all summer.

My greatest derby accomplishment is:

Playing into my 50s.

If I could tell myself one thing when I started playing, I would say:

Focus on fundamentals and footwork.
